We are currently involved in a variety of projects in which we have various roles.
Solar:
We are designing 2 large scale solar plants. One will be a 10-15 MW PV plant located in New Mexico, we are currently rounding up investors and plan to begin the construction by the end of 2010. The other one will be located in California on private land. The feasibility study is under way for the second project, it will determine what technology is most adapted, and the size of the project.
We will soon launch our distributed generation program in Las Vegas. The venture involves creative financing mechanisms which will provide large commercial building owners and operators with solar energy systems at no capital cost. Investors and commercial real estate owners can contact us for more information.
Fontainebleau Resorts:
We participated in the realization of the, now stopped, Luxury Mega Resort, Fontainebleau Las Vegas. We provided the LEED team with scientific and engineering support. We advised on the following aspects:
Modeling of Airflow throughout the Casino
Daylighting and Energy efficiency
Water Efficiency
Other Developments:
We are working on a variety of RFPs as the Energy and Scientific advisor to our partner firms. The target projects include Government and Private developments with a significant Renewable Energy portion in the scope of work.
YWS ARCHITECTS
We are participating in their LEED certification process. We are involved in the energy efficiency analysis and we designed and integrated a 5kW AC PV system
LVCVA:
We assisted them in their attempt to obtain their certification under the LEED for Existing Building (LEED EB) program. We are working towards the implementation of a 1MW Net-metered PV system
La Sardine LLC:
We have Designed a 20 kW Photovoltaic System which will be used to power this 4000 sq. ft. High End wine storage facility owned by founder of Marché Baccus: Gregoire Verge. Installation is planned for Q2 of 2010
Dunkin Donuts:
We work with Unique Signs to provide Stand alone Solar Powered Drive-through signs for the stores opening in Las Vegas.
Africa:
We have been solicited to perform a nation wide analysis of Benin’s Renewable Energy potential. This large scale operation will help the government of Benin achieve its goal of Energy Independence. The technologies explored are mainly Solar Thermal and Hydroelectric Power Plants. We are also working alongside the governments of Congo and Ivory Coast to develop nationwide solar programs.
We have developed a packaged Mobile Power Unit, which includes custom engineered lightweight flexible modules from PowerFilm, custom electronic charge controller from Genasun and 14.8 V Li-Ion battery pack. It is geared toward military and surveying applications.
France:
We are currently working with a Professional Rugby Club to turn their Stadium into a 200 kW Photovoltaic Power plant. The system will include a state of the art Roof Integrated, PV structure.
We are working closely with a group of farmers to equip all of their buildings with roof integrated Photovoltaic Power Plants. So far we have installed over 150 kW of PV plants in the Auvergne Region.
We have also been approached by 2 Supermarket Chains to design self-sufficient Cart Storage Structures. We have engineered a metallic roof including 200 W of flexible PV Modules to power the lighting fixtures.
We have ongoing contracts with municipalities for the design and procurement of Stand alone Solar Street Lights.
